ABOUT ME

From a moody teenager, to a divorced mama and a menopausal Mimi, I’ve dealt with fluctuating blood sugar my whole life.

I married young, and had three babies within five years.

During my first pregnancy I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. The ‘cure’ was to snack on saltine crackers to keep my blood sugar and emotions balanced.

The saltines were never out of reach, giving me a false sense of security and leading to more health challenges every year, leaving me short-tempered and overwhelmed by life.

Fast forward a few decades -I’m divorced, full of aches and pains and heading towards diabetes.

Enough was enough.

It was time to get to the bottom of my health issues and discover if there was a connection to the food that I was eating and the way that I was feeling and dealing with life.

I took a lot of courses and learned to regulate my physical and emotional wellbeing through nutrition and lifestyle and have never been on medications for anything. Menopause was a breeze, and I am physically and emotionally happier and healthier than ever.

Oh, and I got remarried and became a Health and Life coach!

But that isn’t where my story ends.

I also became a Wedding Officiant.

I see myself in each of my couples and it always reminds me that the one universal truth we all share is that we all want to love and be loved. Yet, it's not about finding someone else to love us, we need to love ourselves first before we can fully love another.

So, no matter where you are on your journey through life, about to get married, newly divorced or somewhere in between, my mission in life is to help you love yours, and to empower women with the knowing that self-care is neither optional nor selfish.
